Continental Quality Rework
Often a nonconforming part can be corrected by rework. It is often too expensive to bring these parts back into your plant and unnecessary to do so unless the rework operations require special tools or machinery located only in your plant.
Continental Quality has experienced plant operators that can perform most rework operations. Our engineers can assist you in developing the operator instructions, obtaining tools and material, and then supervise the rework to your specifications. You can salvage product with rework that meets your customer's exact requirements and specifications.
Continental can perform rework in our centrally located Midwest facility, at your site, or at or near your customer's site. Contact Continental for a quick response.
A defect is defined as a failure to meet one of the acceptance criteria of your customer. A defect is a failure to conform to requirements and a defective part is often called a non-conforming part since it does not conform to the specified requirements or criteria of your customer.
Rework is the action done to correct the defect and bring the part into conformity. Thus a part that was rejected can now be accepted into production by your customer.
