Continental's Quality Engineers can assist you in developing a Pre-Launch Control Plan to meet your customer's expectations. This Pre-Launch Control Plan consists of additional controls, inspection audits, and testing to identify non-conformances during the production process..

When non-conformances are discovered Continental-Quality assists you in the immediate implementation of containment and irreversible corrective action. Continental's service includes the documentation of evidence that the control plan has been executed and validated, utilizing the I-chart or other format required by your customer.

The end goal is to meet the exit criteria that allow you to exit GP-12. Continental's experienced Quality Engineers can assist you in the entire process from pre-launch planning through exit of GP-12.

Definition

GP-12 is used for all pre-production and production requirements that require the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and whenever mandated by the OEM on any parts that present significant risk to a customer plant. The purpose of GP-12 is to:

 - Document the supplier's efforts to verify control of its processes during start-up and acceleration
 - Ensure that any quality issues that may arise are quickly identified, contained, and corrected at the supplier's location and not at the customer's receiving location
 - Increase involvement and visibility of top management
